My Tech Skill Journey — From Curiosity to Fullstack Engineering

Full Stack Engineer & UI Architect
1. The Spark of Frontend Curiosity
I started by experimenting with vanilla HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript. Seeing code translate instantaneously into interactive visuals on screen gave me an addiction to visual feedback loops.
Quickly, vanilla JS grew into learning React. Understanding component-driven development, declarative state, and hooks fundamentally altered how I architect user interfaces.
“Curiosity is the engine of software engineering; consistency is the fuel.”
2. Expanding into Backend & Systems Thinking
Building client interfaces only tells half the story. To deliver real product value, I ventured into Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Supabase.
Designing schemas, managing JWT authentication lifecycles, understanding RESTful and GraphQL contracts, and measuring query latencies taught me to evaluate software holistically rather than just visually.
3. Crafting Tools and Shipping in Public
Transitioning from learner to builder happened when I stopped following tutorials and started building open-source developer tooling like UIVault and Favstack.
Building tools for other developers forces a standard of rigor and polish that internal projects rarely demand. You must care about package footprint, clean CLI prompts, TypeScript types, and documentation.
